Evelyn Steiner

Evelyn Steiner was born in Zug in 1981 and graduated in architecture from the ETH Zurich in 2007. After working as an architect in Rome, Barcelona and Zurich, she studied art history with a focus on exhibitions and museology at the University of Berne. Following her Master's degree, she worked as a research assistant at the German Architecture Museum in Frankfurt from 2012 to 2014. From 2014 to 2016 she was engaged as a curator at the Swiss Architecture Museum in Basel, where she was responsible for several exhibition projects and catalogues. Until 2022 she worked as a curator at the Zentrum Architektur Zurich and curated the Salon Suisse at the Architecture Biennale in Venice in 2021 on behalf of Pro Helvetia. In the winter semester 24/25, she is a guest lecturer at the Faculty of Architecture at the Technical University of Munich. She is also a member of the jury for the Swiss contribution to the Venice Architecture Biennale 2025. In addition to her curatorial work, she works as a publicist and moderator in the field of architecture and art.
